Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing vital communication and language services for students in a supportive school environment located near Hyattsville, MD. Start as soon as possible and continue through October 30th, making a real difference in the lives of young learners. This flexible role welcomes both part-time and full-time candidates: part-time professionals will manage a dedicated caseload, while full-time staff have the chance to assist with make-up sessions and support fellow therapists.
Work on a manageable caseload of approximately 9 students, totaling 7.25 direct service hours—though the caseload may adjust based on new student enrollments. Your expertise will help students unlock their communication potential and contribute positively to their educational journey.
Qualifications:
- School-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) experience preferred
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Experience developing IEPs and delivering direct as well as make-up services
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with educational teams
- Passion for fostering students’ speech, language, and communication skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to assigned students
- Adapt services as caseload numbers change
- Complete make-up sessions for students as needed
- Document progress and maintain compliant records
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and school staff
- Participate in team meetings and IEP development
Schedule Highlights:
- Monday to Friday, 8AM–4PM (option to leave after 12PM on Wednesdays to adjust hours)
