Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Independence, MO

Step into an impactful role working with students at a unique French Immersion School near Kansas City, Missouri, supporting a diverse caseload while collaborating in an engaging educational setting. Students and staff communicate with the SLP in English, so proficiency in French is not required. This contract opportunity runs from August 11, 2026, through May 28, 2027, and offers a dynamic mix of middle and high school students with mild to severe needs.

Enjoy a focused schedule, covering just one location and working three days a week, eight hours per day. Depending on your experience, compensation ranges from $45 to $55 per hour.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
• Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates considered
• State SLP licensure for Missouri
• Experience with pediatric and adolescent populations, especially in a school setting
• Comfort working with a mixed caseload, including varying severity and ages
• Familiarity with teletherapy platforms is a plus
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; able to communicate easily in English

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for a caseload of approximately 15 middle/high school students
• Develop individualized treatment plans to address each student's needs
• Collaborate closely with special education and classroom teachers, conducting services in English
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
• Utilize both in-person and virtual therapy modalities as needed
