This contract opportunity, conveniently located in Kansas City, MO, runs from August 11, 2026, to May 28, 2027, and involves working across two vibrant school locations, including a unique French Immersion environment. No French language skills are required, as all sessions and communications are in English.

You’ll work primarily with a mixed caseload of K-5th grade students, totaling about 28 at the elementary level and 15 at the middle/high school level. This role offers the opportunity to serve diverse needs and impact student success directly. With standard school hours (8 hours per day, 5 days per week), you’ll enjoy the structure and community of academic life while focusing on your clinical expertise.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid SLP certification (CCC, CFY, or equivalent accepted)
  • Previous experience in school-based settings and/or pediatric populations preferred
  • Skills in teletherapy, and experience working with mixed caseloads across various levels of need
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teams in diverse school environments
  • Familiarity with best practices for supporting students in English, regardless of instructional language
  • Strong organizational and documentation abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver therapy for K-12 students with speech and language needs
  • Work closely with teachers, special education teams, and families to support each student’s communication goals
  • Maintain accurate records, write progress reports, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Utilize teletherapy tools when appropriate
