Make a meaningful impact this school year by supporting elementary students’ communication needs in a collaborative K-12 setting. A contract speech-language pathologist opportunity is available for the academic year, serving a vibrant elementary caseload in a supportive school environment near Independence, MO. You’ll work onsite with a team that values professional growth and student success, alongside an on-location SLP-A and an additional experienced SLP providing mentorship and supervision for the SLP-A. This is an ideal setting for a school-focused SLP who thrives with teamwork and case management responsibility.

Ideal candidates will offer:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Missouri state SLP license (or eligibility)
  • Recent experience in a K-12 or elementary school setting preferred
  • Solid understanding of IEP processes, service documentation, and progress monitoring
  • Strengths in collaboration, organization, and communication

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a caseload of approximately 21 students and providing direct interventions to a broader service group, with support from an SLP-A
  • Conducting assessments, developing IEPs, and delivering high-quality speech/language therapy
  • Collaborating closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Supervising, as needed, the work of the SLP-A in coordination with another onsite SLP
  • Maintaining thorough documentation and contributing to a positive, student-centered school culture

This position allows you to impact young learners directly, utilize your expertise, and grow within a collaborative school team. The work week is structured for 35 hours, offering consistent, full-time engagement during the school year.
