Exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Speech-Language Pathologist to make a genuine impact in schools near Independence, MO! This contract position spans the academic year, running from late August through late May, and offers a dynamic role split across multiple school sites. The schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, 9am to 4:40pm, providing consistency and structure for both students and staff.

Key Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid SLP license and a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC–SLP)
  • Prior experience in a school-based setting is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with providing support in specialized classroom environments (ESC, BEST)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively manage a caseload across multiple locations
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary educational teams
  • Positive, solution-oriented attitude with a passion for empowering students

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services to students, including those in specialized classrooms
  • Manage a caseload across Liberty High School and Heritage Middle School, with potential service at an additional building
  • Provide “overflow” support where needed as determined by district demands
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Contribute to the development and execution of individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student outcomes
