Speech Language Pathologist in Independence, MO

Qualifications:

• Current ASHA Certification (CCC required)
• Active Missouri Speech Language Pathologist License
• Previous experience in school settings and with IEPs preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, caregivers, and colleagues
• Compassion, patience, and cultural sensitivity
• Experience with middle and high school caseloads is highly valued

Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students
• Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team planning
• Maintain thorough documentation for student progress and interventions
• Provide consultation and resources to educators and support staff
• Engage with families to promote carryover of skills into home and community environments
