Speech Language Pathologist in Independence, MO

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Current state licensure (or eligibility) for Speech-Language Pathologist
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred
• Prior experience working with children in a school or pediatric setting is highly valued
• Strong ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents
• Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Comfortable with IEP processes and caseload management

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
• Work closely with educators and families to support student communication goals
• Provide both direct and consultative therapy services as specified in student IEPs
• Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and assessments
• Participate in team meetings and contribute professional insights on student support strategies
