Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state license (or eligibility to obtain) for practicing in educational settings
- Experience in school-based speech therapy or comparable pediatric experience
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to tailor therapy plans to students’ individual needs and IEP goals
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide direct therapy services to students with communication challenges
- Develop, implement, and update individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to monitor progress
- Document interventions, maintain records, and ensure compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings, offering expertise to support student outcomes
- Stay current with best practices and engage in ongoing professional development
