Apply NowStep into an essential contract role providing Speech-Language Pathology services within a supportive school environment near Independence, OR. This position offers the unique opportunity to assist K-12 students, helping them achieve their communication goals from now through June 17, 2027. Enjoy a consistent weekday schedule, typically 8 AM to 4 PM, working a total of 37.5 hours per week. You’ll focus on expert consultation services for a caseload of approximately 70 students—no case management required.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license valid in the state of Oregon
- Prior experience in school-based settings or with pediatric/young adult populations preferred
- Strong knowledge of evaluation and intervention strategies for K-12 students
- Skilled in assessment, consultation, and collaborating with educational teams
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Comfortable with documentation and tracking student progress
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consultative SLP expertise to support teachers and educational staff serving students K-12
- Assess student speech, language, and communication needs, making recommendations for targeted supports
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop strategies that foster student success
- Deliver in-class support, resources, and guidance as necessary to classroom staff
- Maintain clear, timely records of services provided and student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insight as needed
