Speech Language Pathologist in Iowa City, IA

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
• Valid SLP license issued by the state or eligibility to obtain one.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; exceptional Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply.
• Experience working with school-aged children or a strong interest in school-based therapy.
• Confident in working independently and in teams, with excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of IEP processes and experience participating in multidisciplinary teams a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with communication disorders.
• Support students through direct and indirect speech-language therapy services, adapting interventions to meet individual needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to foster an inclusive learning environment and promote speech/language goals in the classroom.
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP and team meetings as needed.
• Provide guidance and resources for educators and families to reinforce therapy objectives.
