In this role, you’ll provide both direct and indirect speech-language services, focusing on helping students achieve optimal communication and academic success. There are no extra responsibilities outside your contracted hours: no bus duty, no morning or afternoon supervision—just time dedicated to your students’ growth.
Qualifications and Skills: - Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders - Current or eligibility for SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) - Valid Speech-Language Pathology license in Texas or the ability to obtain before the start date - Experience providing school-based speech and language services strongly preferred - Ability to effectively collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families - Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities: - Deliver speech-language therapy services to K-8 students in both direct and consultative models - Evaluate students using standardized assessments and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) - Work closely with teachers and special education teams to deliver tailored interventions - Maintain timely, accurate documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines - Participate in eligibility, annual review, and parent meetings as needed—within contracted hours only
