Step into a rewarding opportunity as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist providing essential support in a vibrant school atmosphere. This full-time position runs from September 14, 2026, through approximately November 20, 2026, ensuring vital leave coverage for K-5th grade students. You'll have the chance to make a significant difference in the lives of children, helping them develop critical communication skills and supporting their educational journey.
Your schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8am-3pm, giving you consistent daytime hours and a manageable caseload of around 55 students. The focus will be on performing speech evaluations, crafting impactful IEPs, and engaging with an energetic and supportive educational team.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active state licensure and SLP certification required
- Prior school-based experience working with elementary-aged students is highly valued
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation standards
- Ability to administer and interpret speech evaluations
- Strong interpersonal skills with students, teachers, and families
- Organizational skills to manage caseload and required documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to children in grades K-5
- Conduct comprehensive speech assessments and write individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and family members to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes per school and district standards
- Adapt therapeutic interventions to meet each student’s unique needs
