Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLP license in the state
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Previous experience serving school-aged children preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in evaluating and implementing speech-language strategies tailored to individual student needs
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve student goals
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy and interventions to students within the school setting
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering expertise and recommendations for student services
- Document student performance and maintain detailed records in accordance with school policies
- Support classroom teachers with strategies and resources to foster student success
- Serve as an advocate for best practices in speech and language development
