School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Jacksonville, Florida

This full-time, contract-to-hire position spans the entire school year and begins August 2, 2024. You’ll work with a PreK–2nd grade caseload at a single, convenient location, providing valuable support to help students communicate effectively and reach their academic potential.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid SLP-CCC certification is required
• Eligible for state licensure in Florida
• Previous experience in school settings, especially with early elementary and preschool students, is strongly preferred
• Strong organizational, collaboration, and communication abilities

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments, evaluations, and screenings for students from PreK through 2nd grade
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
• Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress and adjust strategies as needed
• Provide direct therapy services, utilizing engaging and evidence-based approaches
• Maintain accurate, thorough documentation and progress reports per district and regulatory requirements
• Participate in IEP team meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development activities
