A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2026-27 school year located in Jacksonville, North Carolina, approximately one hour north of Wilmington. This position offers a full-time, 39-hour workweek providing services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Ideal candidates will hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology or be in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). Experience in pediatric settings, healthcare, and school-based environments is highly valued. The role emphasizes supporting students’ communication needs across a diverse age range in an educational setting.
Key Qualifications:
- SLP certification with CCC or CFY status
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in schools
- Ability to provide speech and language assessments, individualized therapy, and progress monitoring
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices for K-12 students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering direct speech-language therapy to students
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitoring and documenting student progress and outcomes
- Collaborating with teaching staff and other professionals to support student success
- Participating in meetings, evaluation planning, and parent communication
