You will have the chance to serve either in a dedicated preschool placement—conducting evaluations, providing RTI services, offering therapy, and supervising an SLPA—or assist the team as an additional SLP to cover fluctuating needs, such as staff leaves or increasing caseloads. Flexibility in placement will be discussed to best match your skills and interests.

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active state licensure or eligibility; Clinical Fellowship (CFY) applicants welcomed, as well as those with CCCs
• Previous experience in school-based settings, specifically with preschool-aged children
• Knowledge of First Steps and Head Start programs strongly preferred
• Comfortable supervising Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech-language assessments and participate in the RTI process for preschool students
• Develop and implement individualized education and therapy plans
• Supervise and mentor an SLPA as needed
• Provide direct therapy and consultative support across the school site(s)
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation
• Coordinate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize services delivered to students
• Adapt to various placement needs, including temporary or fluctuating assignments
