Step into a dynamic role supporting preschool students in a vibrant educational setting near Jamestown, NY. This contract opportunity runs from June 1st through June 25th, with the option to extend into the summer program (ESY) from July through August if desired. You'll engage with a group of 12 preschoolers, dedicated staff, and a welcoming school community.

As a school-based RN, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of young learners. The schedule is straightforward: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, offering a consistent and predictable workweek with weekends off.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
  • Previous experience with pediatric or school-age populations preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities
  • Ability to provide compassionate care to preschool-aged children
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications
  • Experience collaborating in multidisciplinary environments (e.g., with SLPs and other school professionals)

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver daily nursing care to preschool students
  • Manage medications, treatment plans, and health records
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide first aid when necessary
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), and staff to promote a healthy learning environment
  • Educate students, staff, and parents on health procedures and safety practices
  • Communicate health concerns or observations with families and team members
