School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Jamestown, New York

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Prior experience working in a school setting strongly desired
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families
• Strong organizational, communication, and record-keeping skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and deliver evidence-based speech-language therapy to K-12 students.
• Provide 20 individualized or small group sessions per week, each lasting 30 minutes
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and update case files in compliance with school and state guidelines
• Collaborate with teachers, school teams, and parents to enhance student success
• Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities
• Adapt therapy materials to accommodate varying student needs and learning styles
• Educate staff and families on strategies to support communication goals outside therapy sessions
