School Speech Language Pathologist - Jersey City, New Jersey

A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Jersey City, NJ, serving children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This full-time contract role runs from ASAP through June 23, 2026, with working hours from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The position involves providing specialized speech and language services to a small caseload of 5-8 students, allowing for focused and individualized intervention.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations tailored to the ASD population
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support communication goals
• Provide direct speech-language therapy to students, adapting strategies to meet their unique needs
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive support
• Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state regulations

Qualifications:

• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required
• Experience working in a school setting, especially with children on the autism spectrum, is highly desirable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and staff
• Ability to work independently and manage a small caseload effectively
