A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Jersey City, NJ, serving children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This full-time contract role runs from ASAP through June 23, 2026, with working hours from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The position involves providing specialized speech and language services to a small caseload of 5-8 students, allowing for focused and individualized intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations tailored to the ASD population
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support communication goals
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students, adapting strategies to meet their unique needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive support
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state regulations
Qualifications:
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required
- Experience working in a school setting, especially with children on the autism spectrum, is highly desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and staff
- Ability to work independently and manage a small caseload effectively
