Step into an engaging role supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a welcoming school setting near Jersey City, NJ! This full-time contract opportunity spans the academic year from September 4th through June 25th, with daily hours of 8:15AM-3:15PM (35 hours per week). You’ll provide essential therapy and evaluation services within an elementary caseload, making a meaningful difference in young learners’ lives.
Qualifications & Desired Skills:
- Valid New Jersey SLP licensure (CCC required)
- Demonstrated school-based SLP experience—please highlight on your application
- Comfortable navigating school district protocols and environments
- Ability to independently manage a robust caseload in need of services
- Proficient in conducting comprehensive testing, evaluations, and assessments
- Reliable transportation and readiness for on-site responsibilities
- Not open to CF or SLPA candidates due to supervision requirements
- Ability to onboard with TB screening, physical, and fingerprinting for both agency and district
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to elementary students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Perform assessments, testing, and re-evaluations as outlined in IEPs
- Collaborate with educators and school teams for student success
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Communicate effectively with families and district staff
