Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Jersey City, NJ

Step into a rewarding contract position supporting students across a district as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist. Working 35 hours per week from 8:15AM to 3:15PM, you’ll play a critical role in student success through June 25, 2027, providing direct speech and language services and assessments.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Hold active SLP-CCC credentials and valid New Jersey licensure
• Demonstrated previous experience in a school-based SLP setting
• Comfortable working district-wide with varying needs and building rapport with students and staff
• Able to independently manage a caseload, completing required testing, evaluations, and comprehensive assessments
• Must provide your own testing materials as required by the district
• Reliable transportation and ability to handle commute efficiently
• Willingness to disclose comfort level upfront for optimal caseload pairing
• Must clear all New Jersey onboarding steps: TB test, physical exam, and both agency and district fingerprinting
• No Clinical Fellows (CF) or SLP Assistants (SLPA) due to supervision constraints

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver speech and language therapy to students identified as having communication needs
• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations in compliance with district policies
• Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Maintain accurate case records and documentation for all services and interventions
• Coordinate with families, faculty, and specialists across multiple campuses for holistic student progress
