School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Johannesburg, California

This contract opportunity is based near Johannesburg, CA, and offers the chance to share your expertise within a collaborative school environment for the academic year from August 2026 through May 2027.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
• Valid state licensure (or eligibility) to practice as an SLP within California schools
• Prior experience or strong interest in working with elementary-age children in a school setting
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Commitment to working onsite and providing in-person services (no virtual options for this assignment)
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and school staff

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to elementary students
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Monitor student progress and document interventions according to school and district guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Educate and consult with teachers, parents, and support staff on best practices for student communication needs
• Contribute to a positive, supportive atmosphere that fosters student growth and learning
