This contract opportunity is based near Johannesburg, CA, and offers the chance to share your expertise within a collaborative school environment for the academic year from August 2026 through May 2027.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) to practice as an SLP within California schools
- Prior experience or strong interest in working with elementary-age children in a school setting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to working onsite and providing in-person services (no virtual options for this assignment)
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and school staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to elementary students
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and document interventions according to school and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Educate and consult with teachers, parents, and support staff on best practices for student communication needs
- Contribute to a positive, supportive atmosphere that fosters student growth and learning
