This role spans from the beginning of the school year through winter break, working with approximately 60 elementary-aged students in a collaborative environment. You’ll provide essential speech and language services at an established elementary school, utilizing your expertise to make a real difference while growing your skills.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Current ASHA Certification (CCC) or in Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Valid state SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience in school settings strongly preferred
- Familiarity with pediatric populations, ideally within elementary age groups
- Knowledge of teletherapy platforms and remote service delivery a plus
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver both direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to students as aligned with IEP goals
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students’ speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans; monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support educational outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and advocacy for your students
- Utilize both in-person and teletherapy modalities, as appropriate
