Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Johnson City, New York

A rewarding opportunity awaits those passionate about supporting children’s communication and language development. This contract position serves an elementary caseload of 15-25 students, all located at a single site with a dedicated therapy space. You'll have the support and resources needed to deliver meaningful interventions, ensuring each child’s unique needs are met.

Assignments begin ASAP and extend through June 30th, with work hours from 8:30 AM to 3:40 PM, Monday through Friday. Both ASHA CCC-SLPs and Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome; supervision and mentorship will be provided for CFYs enrolled in their clinical fellowship year.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Holds or eligible for state licensure and ASHA certification (CCC or CFY)
• Previous experience with school-based, pediatric, or elementary populations preferred
• Strong skills in teletherapy, articulation, language, pragmatics, and AAC
• Effective communication skills for liaising with families, staff, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to independently organize caseloads and documentation

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy for pediatric students in elementary grades
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and student progress
• Consult with teachers and families regarding student interventions and progress
• Maintain thorough, timely documentation in compliance with school guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings, staff collaborations, and professional development as required
