Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • State licensure (or eligibility) for SLP practice in Illinois
  • Previous experience in a school setting or with early childhood populations is highly preferred
  • Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy to early childhood students, focusing on improving speech, language, and communication abilities
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress toward IEP goals
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, other therapists, and families to ensure comprehensive student support
  • Maintain and complete required documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
  • Optionally, provide temporary maternity leave coverage for elementary students, supporting continuity of care
