Make a direct impact on young learners by working as a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in an early childhood program. This contract role offers 2.5 days (18 hours) weekly for the entire school year, providing valuable therapeutic support to children during their early developmental stages. In addition to the part-time opportunity, there are also two full-time elementary coverage needs for maternity leaves from August-October and August-December.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Illinois SLP licensure, or eligibility to obtain
- Experience with early childhood populations is preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for early childhood students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress records
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
