Speech Therapist in Joliet, IL

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Speech-Language Pathology license and/or SLP-CCC certification
• Previous experience in school settings, especially with elementary and middle school students
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Skilled in conducting assessments and evaluations for communication disorders
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills when working with students, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in K-8 students
• Collaborate with other educators and multidisciplinary teams to support students’ academic and social development
• Develop, update, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Provide group and individual speech therapy services in alignment with student goals
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of student progress and required reports
• Communicate effectively with families on student progress and strategies for ongoing support
