A dynamic opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive services within a K-12 school setting in Joliet, IL. This contract position runs for the current school year and offers flexibility with full-time hours preferred, though part-time candidates will be considered. The role is strictly onsite and focuses on early childhood speech therapy, emphasizing developmental milestones and individualized support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy services to students from early childhood through grade 12
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to assess needs and develop tailored treatment plans
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation per school policies and state regulations
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute professional expertise

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred
  • Eligibility or active status as a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidate accepted
  • Experience working in school-based settings, especially with early childhood populations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Position is onsite only; no remote work or teletherapy options available
  • The use of Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) is not permitted in this role
