A dynamic opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive services within a K-12 school setting in Joliet, IL. This contract position runs for the current school year and offers flexibility with full-time hours preferred, though part-time candidates will be considered. The role is strictly onsite and focuses on early childhood speech therapy, emphasizing developmental milestones and individualized support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy services to students from early childhood through grade 12
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to assess needs and develop tailored treatment plans
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation per school policies and state regulations
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute professional expertise
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred
- Eligibility or active status as a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidate accepted
- Experience working in school-based settings, especially with early childhood populations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
