This contract opportunity is ideal for passionate SLPs seeking a full-time role (part-time candidates will also be considered) focused on supporting young learners during their critical developmental years.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current Illinois SLP licensure
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
- Previous experience in a school or early childhood setting preferred
- Strong understanding of pediatric speech/language development, therapy strategies, and IEP processes
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other professionals
- Must be comfortable working onsite; remote or hybrid options are not available
- Please note: SLPAs are not eligible for this position
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to early childhood students with communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate with special education staff, classroom teachers, and families to maximize student progress
- Document services, maintain accurate records, and participate in team meetings
- Offer guidance and education to parents and staff regarding communication development
