Make a meaningful difference in early childhood education by providing speech-language pathology services onsite at a school near Joliet, IL. This contract opportunity is ideal for passionate SLPs seeking a full-time role (part-time candidates will also be considered) focused on supporting young learners during their critical developmental years.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Current Illinois SLP licensure
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
  • Previous experience in a school or early childhood setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of pediatric speech/language development, therapy strategies, and IEP processes
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other professionals
  • Must be comfortable working onsite; remote or hybrid options are not available
  • Please note: SLPAs are not eligible for this position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to early childhood students with communication disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in accordance with IEP goals
  • Collaborate with special education staff, classroom teachers, and families to maximize student progress
  • Document services, maintain accurate records, and participate in team meetings
  • Offer guidance and education to parents and staff regarding communication development
