This full-time position (with part-time options considered) is perfect for an enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist eager to support young learners. Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current SLP license required (Illinois state credentials preferred)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Previous experience in school-based or healthcare SLP settings, particularly with early childhood students
- Strong understanding of assessment, intervention, and therapy techniques for ages birth to five years
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work closely with educators, families, and related service providers
- Must be able to work onsite; remote or hybrid arrangements are not available
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for early childhood students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each child’s developmental needs
- Provide direct therapy to students, targeting speech, language, and social communication skills
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student growth and success
- Maintain detailed documentation in accordance with school and legal requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and other multidisciplinary team discussions
