Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by providing dedicated speech-language pathology services throughout the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time contract opportunity covers a range of specialized settings in the Joliet, IL area, including general education, Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (ED/BD), Autism-specific programs, and transition services.

Utilize your SLP credentials to support diverse caseloads:

  • Nettle Creek gen ed: Direct therapy for 5 students
  • River’s Edge Academy: Intensive support for 15 ED/BD students
  • Saratoga Autism: Therapy for 12 students, with consultative services for 3 additional
  • Transition Learning Center: Direct therapy for 5 students, consult for 6 more

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
  • Valid Illinois SLP state licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • Prior experience in school-based settings preferred
  • Competency in assessment, intervention, and documentation for children with a wide range of communication challenges
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services to assigned students
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor progress
  • Engage in IEP meetings and maintain compliant documentation
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to foster communication success
  • Conduct screenings, diagnostic evaluations, and adapt interventions as needed

This role offers a consistent weekly schedule (35-37.5 hours) and insight into both general and highly specialized program areas. Complete caseload details will be shared as information becomes available.
