School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Joliet, Illinois

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & Disorders
• Current Illinois SLP License and PEL (Professional Educator License) or eligibility to obtain
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; clinical fellows (CFs) considered
• Prior pediatric or school-based experience is strongly preferred
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for diverse student populations

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
• Provide direct therapy services, both individual and group, to students with speech-language disorders
• Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and support personnel to monitor progress and adjust interventions
• Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team conferences, and ongoing professional development
• Maintain thorough documentation and timely progress reports according to school and regulatory requirements
