Play an essential role in supporting students’ communication and language skills in a dynamic school environment near Joliet, IL as an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Active state licensure as an SLP (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Prior experience working in school settings preferred
  • Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in children and adolescents
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with educators, parents, and allied professionals

Core Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students’ speech and language abilities to determine therapy needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with students’ specific requirements
  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to individuals and small groups
  • Track and document student progress; communicate results to staff and families
  • Participate in collaboration meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and IEP conferences
  • Provide resources and support to teachers and families for carryover of skills in the classroom and at home
  • Stay current with best practices and professional development relevant to school-based SLPs
