In this dynamic role, you will work in a supportive environment near Jonesboro, GA, providing vital speech therapy services to approximately 55 students of varying ages. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced clinicians as well as Clinical Fellows who are passionate about school-based practice and pediatric populations.
Essential Qualifications:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Active Georgia Teaching Certificate
- Experience providing speech therapy in K-12 school settings
- Comfort with teletherapy and in-person therapy models
- Strong understanding of Medicaid billing and school IEP processes
- Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative and flexible approach
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are welcome to apply
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech, language, and communication therapy to students in accordance with IEPs
- Conduct comprehensive speech/language evaluations and generate detailed reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation, including Medicaid billing
- Support students and families by developing individualized treatment plans
- Stay current with evidence-based practices in pediatric speech-language pathology
This contract role offers a consistent weekday schedule with 40 hours per week, spanning five days to fully engage with your caseload and colleagues.
