A rewarding opportunity awaits a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist for a contract role in a K-12 educational setting nestled in a scenic Upstate New York community. This position focuses primarily on elementary-aged students, with a smaller high school caseload, from September through June during the 2025–2026 school year.
In this role, you will be responsible for a caseload of approximately 28 students. Your work will center on assessment, individualized therapy sessions, and ongoing collaboration with educators and families to ensure comprehensive support for students’ speech and language development. You will play a vital part in fostering an inclusive atmosphere geared toward academic and personal success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough speech and language evaluations for K–12 students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students' specific needs
- Provide direct, evidence-based therapy services
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate and monitor accommodations
- Track progress, update interventions, and maintain timely documentation
- Take an active role in IEP meetings, contributing expertise and setting meaningful goals
- Communicate effectively with families, offering guidance and support
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Possession of, or eligibility for, a valid state SLP license
- Prefer experience with school-aged children
- Proficient communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with IEP procedures and educational regulations
This contract follows the academic calendar, offering guaranteed hours and scheduled school breaks. Compensation for eligible candidates ranges from $48 to $58 per hour, with access to healthcare benefits, potential housing, and meals or incidentals.
