A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2025–2026 academic year, supporting primarily elementary students, with some high school involvement. The role is based within a K-12 school and focuses on nurturing communication skills to foster student growth and inclusion. You'll manage a manageable caseload of around 28 students, providing direct therapy and collaborating with educators and families to make a substantial impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized therapy plans
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy tailored to each student's needs
- Collaborate with teachers to implement effective classroom accommodations and modifications
- Monitor student progress, documenting and adjusting interventions as necessary
- Actively participate in IEP meetings, offering insights and crafting goals
- Provide guidance and support to parents and caregivers to aid student progress
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current or eligible state SLP license
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with the IEP process and educational regulations
