Make an impact supporting students’ communication and language development as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the school setting. Working closely with educators, families, and a multidisciplinary team, you’ll help students thrive by identifying needs and providing tailored interventions.

Key qualifications and experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
  • Previous experience in a school environment preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP development, progress reporting, and collaboration with special education teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build positive rapport with students, parents, and staff
  • Comfortable working with diverse student populations and age groups

Primary responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on evaluation results and IEP goals
  • Deliver direct and indirect therapy services in classroom and small group settings
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and required reports
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Provide education and resources to families and staff on effective communication strategies
  • Stay informed of best practices and updates within the field
