Step into a fulfilling role supporting preschool through 6th grade students for the 2026-2027 school year as a contract Speech Language Pathologist. Working closely with the Director of Special Education, you’ll provide in-person, full-time services to help students reach their communication goals in an engaging, school-based environment. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced clinicians and Clinical Fellows seeking hands-on, impactful work with a supportive multidisciplinary team.
What We’re Looking For:
- Current Washington state SLP license
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Experience working with pediatric populations—schools experience strongly preferred
- Commitment to serving students with special education needs and supporting their families
- Skills in assessment, evaluation, and consultation, including all phases of special education processes
- Expertise in building positive relationships with staff, families, and community partners
- Willingness to infuse your caseload with creativity, humor, and positivity
- Aptitude for effective communication and collaboration across teams
- Special consideration for experience in early learning or working with atypical impairments
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct comprehensive speech/language assessments and develop tailored intervention plans
- Direct and consultative service delivery for students’ IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to maximize student progress
- Maintain compliant documentation and contribute to eligibility determinations
- Implement effective screening and identification strategies for speech and language needs
