This full-time, contract opportunity is designed to cover a maternity leave from September 28 through December 18, 2026. You’ll work directly with students in PreK through 3rd grade, utilizing your expertise to foster growth and success in a vibrant educational setting near the Kalamazoo area.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license in Michigan
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Experience serving pediatric populations, preferably within a school environment
- Strong familiarity with IEP process and documentation requirements
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for elementary students
- Develop, implement, and monitor tailored treatment plans and interventions
- Participate as an active member of multidisciplinary teams, contributing insights and recommendations
- Document student progress and contribute to IEP meetings, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Provide direct speech and language interventions and support within classroom and pull-out settings
