Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students across multiple school sites in the Kansas City, KS area for the upcoming academic year. This full-time, on-site position offers you the chance to make a meaningful difference for learners from kindergarten through high school, with schedules spanning 37.5 hours each week from August 2026 through May 2027.

You'll engage with specialized programs at several elementary schools and possibly an early childhood setting, with current caseloads at select campuses:

  • TA Edison (23 students)
  • Caruthers (18 students)
  • Frances Willard and Silver City (caseloads to be determined)

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality speech-language therapy for students in specialized school programs
  • Manage caseloads across 1–3 campuses, collaborating closely with staff and families
  • Assess, plan, and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals
  • Monitor and document student progress, adapting therapy as needed
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Provide consultation and training to teachers, support staff, and parents as appropriate
  • Stay updated on best practices in school-based speech-language pathology

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Experience in K-12 school settings; preference for those with experience across elementary and/or early childhood
  • Ability to travel between campuses
  • Excellent collaboration, organization, and communication skills
  • Dedication to fostering a positive, supportive environment for students
