Apply NowStep into a rewarding school-based opportunity supporting K-5th grade students near Kansas City, MO, within a vibrant French Immersion environment. This contract position starts August 11, 2026, and continues through May 28, 2027. While the immersive setting provides a unique cultural backdrop, all speech-language services are provided in English—French language skills are not required.
As the dedicated SLP, you will work with a diverse, mixed caseload of approximately 28 elementary and 15 middle/high school students across two locations. You'll play a vital role in bridging communication, supporting students’ academic and social growth, and collaborating with teachers and Special Education colleagues—all of whom speak English.
Key Qualifications:
- Current SLP licensure (CCC or CFY candidates welcomed)
- Experience in pediatric, school-based, or healthcare SLP settings
- Skills in teletherapy and adapting services for a range of needs (mild through severe)
- Ability to engage with K-5th grade students in group and individual settings
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational strengths
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver direct therapy
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to support student success and compliance with IEP goals
- Provide support across two school locations, integrating smoothly into existing school teams
- Document progress according to school and regulatory standards
Enjoy full-time, Monday through Friday hours (8 hours per day) with a pay rate ranging from $45 to $55 per hour, based on experience. This role offers the chance to make a positive impact on students’ development in a creative and engaging setting, all while building your professional skill set.
