Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in an autism program at an elementary school near Kansas City, MO. This full-time assignment spans from August 17, 2026, to September 4, 2026, covering a maternity leave. As an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist, you’ll collaborate closely with teachers and staff in a nurturing school community, helping students develop essential communication skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in Missouri
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with autism intervention strategies preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 9am to 4:40pm, onsite

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy services to students within the autism program
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education staff to support student progress
  • Monitor and document student growth, communicating regularly with families and team members
  • Provide consultation, support, and strategies to promote language development within the classroom
  • Participate in IEP meetings and professional development as required
