Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Kansas City, MO

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an in-person Speech-Language Pathologist serving middle school students. This position covers a maternity leave assignment, running from August 17, 2026 to November 12, 2026. Located near Kansas City, MO, you’ll make a significant impact by supporting students’ communication development during a critical period of growth. Please note that virtual/VOCO services are not being offered for this role—all services are provided on-site.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP
• Prior experience in a school-based setting, particularly at the middle school level
• Strong assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
• Familiarity with IEP development and implementation

Responsibilities:

• Provide a full range of speech-language services to middle school students
• Complete assessments, write reports, and participate in IEP meetings
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to support students’ educational goals
• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions as outlined in student IEPs
• Maintain accurate records and timely progress reports
• Serve as a resource to teachers and parents about students’ speech and language needs
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations
