Step into a valuable role providing in-person speech-language pathology services at the middle school level just outside Kansas City, MO. This is a contract opportunity covering a maternity leave, with a set assignment running from August 17, 2026, through November 12, 2026. As part of an educational community that supports both staff and students, you’ll make a difference helping learners develop the communication skills they need to thrive.

Your expertise as a school-based SLP will support students' progress in a dynamic, collaborative environment. This position focuses exclusively on in-person service delivery—no teletherapy or VOCO services required at this time.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP in Missouri
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred
  • Experience working with school-aged children, preferably at the middle school level
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
  • Provide direct, in-person therapy to middle school students
  • Maintain accurate records and progress notes
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student outcomes
  • Participate in IEP meetings, offering insights and recommendations
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment
