School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Kansas City, Missouri

Step into a rewarding contract position supporting students in multiple school settings near Kansas City, MO. This full-time opportunity spans the academic year from late August through late May, with consistent hours from 9:00am to 4:40pm, Monday through Friday. Your expertise will be split between a high school and a middle school—offering vital speech services in both the ESC and BEST classrooms at the high school (approximately 11 students), and acting as “overflow” support at the middle school and potentially a third building. Expect to spend three days per week at the high school and two days at additional locations as needed—all onsite.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current and valid SLP license required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Experience in school-based SLP roles preferred
• Adaptability and comfort providing services across multiple sites
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students as assigned
• Provide specialized support in self-contained and special education settings
• Consult and collaborate with educational staff and families
• Conduct assessments and contribute to IEP planning and documentation
• Maintain accurate records and track student progress
