Enhance the lives of students as a Speech-Language Pathologist, supporting K-12 learners in the Houston area through evidence-based interventions and collaborative care. This contract opportunity offers flexibility for both full-time and part-time schedules with on-site work strongly preferred. You’ll work closely with other allied professionals and families to ensure students make progress toward their speech and language goals.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid or eligible Texas SLP licensure
- ASHA CCC-SLP certification strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development and documentation
- Comfortable with AAC devices for communication support
- Background in school settings is a plus, whether as SLP-CCC, CFY, or SLPA
- Pediatric and teletherapy experience valued
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders for assigned students
- Create tailored treatment plans based on IEPs and individual needs
- Collaborate effectively with caregivers, teachers, SLPAs, PTs, and OTs
- Track, document, and communicate student progress
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
