Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current licensure as an SLP in Texas (or eligibility)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; will consider strong CFY candidates
- Prior experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and relevant documentation
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with communication disorders
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy goals
- Provide direct and consultative speech/language therapy services
- Maintain thorough and timely progress notes and reports
- Partner with teachers, special education staff, and families to foster students’ progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
- Stay current with best practices in speech/language pathology and special education
