Speech Language Pathologist in Kearney, MO

Step into a rewarding contract position supporting middle school students' communication and learning as an in-person Speech-Language Pathologist. This maternity leave coverage runs from August 17, 2026, through November 12, 2026, and focuses on delivering high-quality speech and language services directly on campus. This role does not include virtual or VOCO assignments at this time.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid state SLP license
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility preferred
• Previous experience in a school-based SLP setting, ideally at the middle school level
• Strong communication skills with students, teachers, and families
• Proven ability to adapt interventions to support diverse learners

What You’ll Do:

• Provide in-person assessments and diagnostics for students with speech and language concerns
• Develop and implement individualized education plan (IEP) goals and therapy sessions
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student progress
• Document services, student progress, and participate in IEP meetings
• Support students’ communication abilities to help them succeed academically and socially
• Serve as a valuable resource for school staff regarding speech and language development
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and best practices
