School Speech Language Pathologist - Keenesburg, CO

This contract opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with other educators and specialists, working with K-5 students—many of whom have intellectual disabilities and may use communication devices. You'll play an integral role in fostering communication and supporting students' educational journeys.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid state licensure and credentials as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
• Experience with school populations, particularly K-5 students
• Understanding of working with students who have intellectual disabilities and assistive communication devices
• Strong communication skills and ability to develop productive relationships with students, families, and school staff
• Commitment to compliance and upholding standards in education settings

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for assigned students
• Actively participate in IEP meetings and contribute to collaborative goal-setting
• Deliver both direct and indirect speech-language services in alignment with students’ IEPs
• Adapt interventions for students with intellectual disabilities, including those using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate progress to the team
• Support a welcoming, inclusive classroom atmosphere for all learners
• Work a consistent 5-day week schedule as a school-based professional
