Make a meaningful impact by supporting elementary-aged students with diverse communication needs in a welcoming educational environment. This full-time, onsite role covers a maternity leave from November 16, 2026, through January 29, 2027, working with a caseload of approximately 50 students. You’ll collaborate with a dedicated team and focus on students in both resource settings and the RISE program, which supports those with moderate disabilities.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Possess a valid Washington State Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License
- ESA (Educational Staff Associate) certification required
- Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience with school-based caseloads and IEP development strongly desired
- Demonstrated ability to support students with moderate disabilities in resource or specialized programs
- Strong organizational and communication skills to engage students and collaborate with staff and families
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language services to elementary students in both general resource and specialized programs
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor student progress
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including IEP development and reviews
- Engage effectively with educators, staff, and parents to support student learning and growth
- Maintain all necessary documentation and compliance with state and district requirements
