A full-time opportunity is available for two licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide essential services within a school setting located in Kenner, LA. This contract role begins ASAP and extends through the end of the academic year with potential for renewal.
Responsibilities include delivering targeted speech-language interventions and managing caseloads of 30 to 50 students, with approximately half of the caseload involving English Learner (EL) students within the New Orleans area. Positions are split between one high school and one K-8 school. The focus is primarily on intervention services and observation minutes, as evaluations are handled by designated personnel.
Key qualifications and experience for this role:
- Licensure as an SLP with Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working in school-based and pediatric healthcare settings
- Ability to manage diverse caseloads ranging from speech intervention to observation
- Familiarity with supporting English Learner populations
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred but not mandatory
- Strong organizational and communication skills to collaborate effectively with school teams
The workweek consists of 37.5 hours full-time, aligning with the school calendar, ensuring meaningful engagement in the students’ academic progress.
