Step into a rewarding contract position as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students for a maternity leave coverage this fall. This full-time opportunity near Kenner, LA offers you the chance to make a meaningful impact at Schaumberg Elementary, working directly with a caseload of 50-60 students. You will serve onsite, collaborating with educators and families to deliver tailored speech and language services that empower students for success.

Your assignment will run from September 14th through November 30th (returning after Thanksgiving break), providing vital continuity of care for young learners. This role welcomes both experienced clinicians with CCCs as well as Clinical Fellows (CFs) seeking to further their expertise in a supportive school setting.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active LA SLP license required (or eligibility)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; strong CFs are encouraged to apply
  • Prior experience in school-based settings or with pediatric populations is ideal
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication evaluations
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
  • Deliver direct therapy to a diverse student caseload
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary staff
  • Maintain accurate documentation and fulfill progress reporting requirements
