Your expertise in school-based speech-language pathology will help students develop vital communication and language skills in a supportive, collaborative environment. Whether you are an experienced SLP-CCC or a Clinical Fellow seeking school-based experience, your commitment and compassion can shape student success.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship (CFs considered)
  • State licensure to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Louisiana
  • Prior experience working with school-age children, particularly in a school setting, is preferred
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Excellent communication and collaborative abilities with multidisciplinary teams

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy services onsite to elementary students
  • Conduct thorough assessments, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and maintain progress documentation
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to promote student success
  • Adapt therapy strategies and materials to meet the diverse needs of the caseload
  • Participate actively in school-based meetings and professional development, as required
