Make a genuine impact this school year by providing speech-language pathology services to students at a welcoming elementary school in New Orleans, LA. This full-time contract position is focused on supporting students’ communication needs during a maternity leave, running from September 14th through November 30th (following Thanksgiving break). Work alongside engaged educators in a collaborative environment and deliver essential interventions that help students reach their full potential.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders required
  • Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility as a Clinical Fellow (CF)
  • Current (or eligible) Louisiana SLP licensure
  • Previous experience serving school-aged children in a school, pediatric, or similar setting a plus
  • Strong communication skills, organizational ability, and a student-centered attitude
  • Ability to manage a caseload of 50-60 elementary school students
  • Dedicated to in-person (onsite) service delivery

Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct speech-language assessments and create individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Deliver direct therapy sessions, individually and in groups, to students with various speech and language needs
  • Collaborate with educators, specialists, and families to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
  • Participate in meetings, consultations, and school-wide initiatives as needed
