Looking for an opportunity to work with a dynamic team supporting PreK students ages 3-5? A full-time contract assignment is available for a speech-language pathologist (SLP) with their CCC. This onsite position offers the chance to provide essential speech and language services to young learners across several locations.
Requirements for Success:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Current state licensure for speech therapy in Louisiana (or eligibility)
- Previous experience in a school-based setting, ideally with preschool/preK populations
- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and documentation
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Ability to travel between sites as part of an itinerant model
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to PreK students, ages 3-5, following individualized education plans
- Conduct assessments, evaluate student progress, and participate in eligibility/IEP meetings
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to ensure coordinated student support
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of interventions and outcomes
- Travel to multiple assigned locations as part of an itinerant caseload
- Provide consultative services and training for teachers and parents as necessary
- Uphold professional standards, confidentiality, and positive relationships within each school environment
