This contract-to-hire position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact during the 2026-2027 school year while working with a friendly and collaborative educational team. You'll provide targeted speech-language services to a manageable caseload of 45 students, supporting their communication development from September through June.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid Washington SLP license (or eligibility for WA licensure)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; SLP-CFY welcome to apply
  • Experience in school-based settings and providing pediatric services
  • Strong assessment, intervention, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Comfortable managing a caseload without SLP assistants (no SLPAs)

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive speech and language therapy services to elementary-aged students
  • Conduct evaluations, create individualized plans, and track student progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student goals
  • Serve as a resource at Tehaleh Heights Elementary School, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with school and state regulations
  • Consult and problem-solve with colleagues to enhance student outcomes
