A school setting near Kent, WA is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a long-term contract position covering a maternity leave from September to December 18th. You’ll work with a preschool caseload of approximately 45 students, providing invaluable speech and language services to help them reach developmental milestones.
As an SLP in this school, you will collaborate with educators and families, implementing individualized educational plans and supporting a wide range of communication needs. Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Active SLP license for Washington state (or ability to obtain)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience in schools or working with preschool-aged children
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability
- A passion for working with diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapeutic services to preschool students on your caseload
- Complete evaluations and assessments to identify students’ needs
- Develop and implement effective, individualized therapy plans
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and federal guidelines
- Collaborate daily with teachers, support staff, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team goals
