Desired Skills and Background:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- North Carolina licensure (or eligibility) for SLP
- Hold or actively pursuing Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is preferred
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Passion for empowering students of diverse backgrounds and needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech and language therapy to students based on IEP goals
- Assess, diagnose, and track progress on speech, language, and communication challenges
- Develop treatment plans and collaborate in IEP meetings with educators and families
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, session notes, and required reports
- Educate teachers and support staff on strategies for facilitating communication development in the classroom
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to create well-rounded support plans for students
